MP3 Players : SanDisk Sansa e130

This is my first MP3 Flash player. I bought it with the primary use being for play in my car via a cassette adapter. It worked pretty well with a Sony adapter. The compatibility of the flash cards with my digital camera was also a big plus.

The only drawback were the earbuds that came with the unit. Don't even use them for long. Get a better pair of buds ASAP, it will make a huge difference in sound.

The battery cover and USB cover are easily fixed with a little ingenuity.

This MP3 player could have been a real winner if it only had been programmed to remember internal position within tracks.

Sandisk ignores the fact that not all tracks listened to on MP3 players are 3-4 minute songs and that some users listen to 1 hour podcasts.

Sadly, my repeated requests to tech support for a firmware upgrade to address this problem were ignored.

I would, however, reccommend this player to anybody who only listens to songs. Hide Full Review

My wife gave me this MP3 player for my birthday. She slightly overpaid for it at Circuit City, but fortunately I was able to get a partial refund due to price matching. Sound is incredible,even with the supplied earbuds. The SRS WOW really enhances playback. Unit is not much bigger than a book of matches and a slot for expandable memory, which will be my next purchase. I have a hard enough time finding enough songs to fill 512 MB, so filling 2.5 GB should be interesting. Carrying case is somewhat bland, but it does the job.
