HDTV & Televisions : Sharp LC-20SH3U

The question: whether to spend $300 -$500 for an LCD 20" or close to $1000 for some Sony models with HD capabilities. As this was just going to a bedroom TV I opted for the lesser end. It works well. if you are looking for something that fits in a small(er) space, is a step down in definition from hdtv, and can be as sharp and crips as hdtv for a fraction of the price--depending on where you buy it, this might be a good interim chocie until hdtv prices decrease considerably. (we bought ours in costco on sale this week 2/20/07 for $250). waranty of 1 year labor 90 day parts is not as strong as sharp's hdtv warranties, typically 1 year labor and parts (at least if bought in costco.) It has only 1 angle setting for the standup tripod-would be nice to have 1-or 2 more settings so that it could sit up straighter. Hide Full Review
