Digital Cameras : Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W70

I bought the camera as a birthday present for myself, and I LOVED IT....for the first 21 days. It stopped working, something was wrong with the lens, it sounded like it got stuck or something. Now I am cameraless due to the fact you have to send it back to the manufacturer since you can't return to the store if your camera is not working!!! I hope I get it back soon.... Hide Full Review

I got this camera for my birthday. First day I used it the camera broke. Some type of lens malfunction. I was on vacation and I called sony to see if it was something that I couldn't figure out but no I had to send it back.They were very helpful. But I decided to take it back to Best Buy were it was purchased. Even though I didn't have an extended warranty they replaced it anyway.
So much for that story. This little camera is awesome. Great pictures just pointing and shooting which is what I wanted(I already have a big digital slr). Controls are easy to read which is important for those of us getting a little older. Fits no problem into my pocket.
All in all a great little camera although I would recommend an extended warranty just to be safe. Hide Full Review

I wanted a camera that I can slip into my purse without making it bulky. I purchased the Sony Cybershot DSC-W70 before my husband and I left for our recent trip to Thailand, and this camera fit the bill! It easily fit into my small clutch purse and did not get in the way when we trekked around the country. Overall, I am happy with the picture quality. Some of the pictures taken in the dark were less than perfect, but I did not try to use the ISO settings, which may have helped the image quality. There are a handful of features I have not gotten around to learning yet. However, I was very pleased when I learned that there is a resolution setting for HDTV, the 16:9 aspect, so that images can be viewed nicely on a plasma TV. Uploading pictures to the computer was a snap. It's a great little camera! Hide Full Review

I tend to take mostly action/sports and although the burst shot is very nice, I wish it had an action shot mode. Other than that it's a great camera and has a good price. And concidering its size and price it takes great photos. Hide Full Review
