When this scanner decides to work, it's great. It's got a small footprint (good for business use), scans pretty quickly, and is pretty reliable. However, this scanner does tend to stop working sometimes (almost always related to the OneTouch software required to make the scanner work correctly). When this happens, it's almost a given that you have to disconnect the scanner, uninstall all of the software, CLEAN OUT THE FOLDERS (Uninstall is bad, at best - there's a cleanup tool availbale on Visioneer's website), then reboot, reinstall everything, and pray that it works so you don't have to do it again.
Their tech support is a complete joke. Their website is almost completely non-helpful, but there are a few tidbits there (like the cleanup tool). Their telephone support is a toll call to California, though, and their technicians know very little about them. Additionally, if it is a problem with the actual hardware, there are no repair facilities for these, so you have to buy a new scanner.
With forced software registration which somehow managed to get me signed up for spam required for any real support, combined with poor support as it is, stay away from this scanner. Stick with something, anything else, unless you're a glutton for punishment.
