The VPL-CX61 projector offers a brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens. The model achieves high picture quality with Digital Processing and 10-bit 3D Gamma correction circuit. It also features low fan noise (28dB) to reduce background noise during presentations.
The VPL-CX61 can be ceiling-mounted, with screw holes on the bottom plate provided for use with a suspension-type bracket. The model features a motorized lens with power zoom and focus, so that users can control it from the projector control panel and the supplied Remote Commander unit.
With "Direct Power On/Off," standby mode can be skipped over to activate the projector immediately. The projector's input connectors are checked automatically, selecting the one to which an input signal is supplied and images are projected from the moment the power is turned on.
The CX61 projector offers Sony's "off-and-go" feature, a built-in circuit that allows users to unplug the projector and move it without waiting, because the fan continues to cool the unit. This feature also protects the bulb if power is interrupted.
