The AVR-787 not only delivers great home theater sound, but also offers plenty of convenience features to make your entertainment system easy-to-use and enjoy. The high-current amplification drives up to 7 home theater speakers with power and precision. And thanks to a wealth of built-in surround decoding options, you can enjoy high-impact surround sound from virtually all of your movies, music, TV shows, and video games.

The AVR-787 is dedicated to giving you great sound quality with its 24 bit, 96kHz DACs. It even has a 6-channel external input for DVD-Audio and SACD with wideband (100kHz) frequency response. All surround processing is carried out at an impressive 96 kHz, including Dolby PLIIx and Enhanced DTS Neo: 6 to help deliver clearer sound. Multiple inputs have also been added (the most notable being three HDTV-ready component video sockets) to give greater flexibility and digital circuits and power supply have been upgraded to boost sound quality.

The AVR-787 boasts the latest 32-bit DSP, 7x85-watt amplifiers and now includes Fast Auto Setup and full On-Screen Displays to make it a snap to optimize your system's performance based on your specific room and speakers. Just plug in the included microphone and the AVR-787 will automatically calibrate itself to adjust the level and delay settings for every speaker in your system.
