The HTB-706DV has everything you need to bring awesome digital surround sound into your home. The 5-disc DVD changer delivers incredibly realistic video images, and its progressive scan video output is compatible with HD-ready TVs and monitors. Besides playing DVD-video discs and standard CDs, it also plays the MP3-encoded CD-R/RW discs you make on your computer, and will even display JPEGs from photo CDs. A powerful receiver (100 Watts x 6 channels) is the system's command center, providing Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding for intensely great surround sound, and it's perfect for reproducing your music as well. Active EQ by DSP tailors the receiver's electronics to precisely match the system's five 2-way speakers (left, center, right, and two surround speakers), so all of a movie's dialogue, music, and sound effects are faithfully reproduced. The 8" subwoofer is independently powered by the receiver's 6th amplifier channel, so it delivers the slam and excitement of a powered subwoofer. The included Universal Pre-programmed Remote controls the receiver and DVD player, your TV, VCR, cable or satellite tuner, and select audio components.
