NEC announces the next-generation version of its PlasmaSync commercial plasma products: the XGA (high-resolution) 61XM3.

The 61XM3 is designed for such varied environments as corporate boardrooms, classrooms, rental audio/video applications and digital signage for storefronts, lobbies and transport terminals. It enhances NEC's industry-leading range of products with qualities such as brightness and contrast improvements (important for environments with uncontrolled ambient lighting), lower power consumption, built-in matrixing for multi-screen displays (up to 5x5 matrix can be setup without the need of an external processor), enhanced split screen functionality which allows two sources to be displayed simultaneously and crystal-clear images which are free of noise and artifacts.
