Panasonic sets home theatre entertainment on its edge - literally - with the introduction of the SC-DM3 Digital Home Theatre, a new all-in-one system that brings DVD-Audio/Video enjoyment to a den, bedroom, or other room where space is a consideration. Panasonic's new "Home Theatre in a Box" system includes components that are all acoustically matched for optimum performance and include all the wires and connections needed for easy set up. The new SC-DM3 includes a super-slim receiver that can be placed vertically next to your TV or positioned horizontally on a bookshelf. But what about the information displayed on the backlit LCD display? Not to worry. The unit "senses" how it is sitting and then automatically rotates the LCD to fit its vertical or horizontal orientation.
Despite its diminutive stature, the SC-DM3 package's robust built-in amplifier can deliver the full benefits of 5.1-channel surround from DVDs or digital satellite broadcasts. The unit's built-in, single-play DVD/CD audio/video player is sure to satisfy many of your video and audio entertainment needs. The SC-DM3 plays DVD video and DVD-Audio recordings. It can also play tracks downloaded from the Internet to your PC or transferred from other CDs and saved in the MP3 file format on CD-R or CD-RW discs. The system's DVD player also includes built-in decoders for both the Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound formats. Both produce smooth, richly detailed surround sound and help complete the cinematic experience. This futuristic home theatre system boasts great visual appeal, with silver front panels and rich-looking silver speakers that will accent just about any room.
The SC-DM3 features speakers with wall mounting holes and built-in nuts. You can save floor space by mounting the included compact speakers on a wall. This unit can play back Panasonic DVD-R discs recorded with Panasonic DMR-E30 DVD video recorder. It may not be able to play some DVD-R discs depending on the condition of the recording. The SC-DM3 boasts electric open and close panel and auto shift LCD for horizontal/vertical set.
