The player also features both 176kHz CD upsampling and Philips proprietary Real Surround system. The 176kHz CD up sampling improves the resolution and the Real Surround feature converts the sound from 2 channel to 5.1 channel surround. Together the features offer the ultimate multi-channel music experience.

Maintaining the strength in video that Philips is known for, the DVD795SA offers 3: 2 pull-down progressive scan to produce high vertical resolution and razor sharp images. The player also features digital zoom, allowing users advanced high resolution for extreme close ups.
