Sony Universal lets you operate a wide selection of Audio and Video equipment. The RM-AV2000 features unified control for up to 12 components with component select buttons for TV, VCR1, VCR2, VCR3, DVD Player, Satellite Receiver/Cable Box, Amplifier, CD Player, MD/DAT Recorder, Cassette Deck and AM/FM Tuner and Option.

The free reassignment lets you control most component from any component select button: the CD Player from the VCR2 button, for example. Option button lets you control an additional piece of infrared remote equipment, including a room lighting system, automatic window curtains or a second A/V component in any category-for example when your system contains two CD Players or both a Cable Box and a Satellite Receiver. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) touchpad shows only the relevant controls; enables you to control dozens and dozens of functions with large, easy-to-use virtual buttons. Learning function enables you to program the remote for specialized operations unique to your specific components, additional compatible A/V equipment and other types of infrared remote equipment, including compatible motorized projection screens, window blinds, room lights and air conditioners.
