BlackStripe II Picture Tube sets the standard for small screen sets. By incorporating stripes of light-absorbing compounds between the phosphors inside the tube, stray light is absorbed. The result is vibrant color and incredible contrast. Black Level Expansion creates dark, rich blacks so that colors are deeper and more vivid. This chassis design also makes for brilliant whites and a dynamic high contrast picture. When the phone rings and you have to mute the TV, closed captioning automatically comes on to let you follow the program. Captions disappear when volume is restored.
