The Vivitar ViviCam 3555T is a compact, 1 MP digital zoom camera. The V3555T is an affordable choice for anyone seeking an easy-to-use digital camera with digital zoom.

The V3555T is equipped with a 1 mega-pixel CMOS image sensor and 2X digital zoom. The simplicity of operation coupled with a focus-free lens makes digital imaging easy. Images may be reviewed on the power-saving 1.5” color STN-type LCD display.

The V3555T offers imaging versatility. Users may select from three resolution settings for their images. Whereas the native resolution of the V3555T is 1 MP – you may elect to capture images at 2 megapixel resolution using processing internal to the camera. Resolution modes include 1600 x 1200 (2 MP interpolation), 1152 x 864 (native resolution), and 640 x 480 (VGA resolution). Images from the V3555T are ideal for print, email, or web applications.

The V3555T can also be used with your PC as a PC/web cam. The V3555T can provide live video up to 15 fps at 320 x 240, or 30 fps at 160 x 120 to your PC by USB.

The V3555T features automatic shooting mode with the additional ability to specify any one of four white balance settings. The V3555T offers the distinctly unique capability to capture images in either monochrome (black and white) or sepia modes. This is a feature seldom found on cameras of this price-class. The V3555T produces images that are ready for display or print. Images captured at full resolution yield outstanding prints up to 5” x 7”.

The V3555T features a built-in three-mode flash, including red-eye reduction. The V3555T comes equipped with 8 MB internal memory that can be extended using optional Smart Media memory cards.

Four U-Lead software titles are included with the camera including Photo Express 4, Photo Explorer 7.0 SE, Cool 360 Panorama, and DVD Picture Show SE Basic. DVD Picture Show is a particularly compelling software application for those V3555T owners that have a CD writer on their PC. Using DVD Picture Show you may save your images on a writeable CD and then play that CD in a DVD player to see your images on a TV. This is a particularly convenient and cost effective way to share your digital images with friends and family. Simply “burn” a CD with your images and drop it in the mail for your distant friends and relatives to view on their DVD/TV. It is an easy alternative to emailing and downloading large numbers of digital images.

Other features of the V3555T include a 10-second self-timer and a tripod-mounting socket. The V3555T comes with a USB cable to download images for viewing and/or editing. Windows Me, 2000, and XP users will enjoy native support for the V3555T. Simply connect the V3555T to your Me/200/XP PC and access your images immediately – no drivers or software are required for basic functionality.

The V3555T multi-lingual camera interface menus are available in four languages including English, French, German, and Spanish., making the V3555T an International camera. 2 AA alkaline batteries supply power whereas built-in power saving logic automatically turns-off the camera to conserve battery power.
