you shouldnt be going to those sites at school (lol) just get your teachers permission and reformat the sucker! - Top Cat

no...thay have a proxy server...and they can see where you've been online. - Boom
No, as you probably know, your schools, "net-nanny", software is set up to stop students from visiting, game sites, porn sites, and sites with a violent content. The only way to get to these sites with the net-nanny software in the way is to get the macro in the HTML heading on the site changed so that the net nanny software cannot see the words, "SEX"," GAMES", or whatever else it is set up to bar from the school server. In the case of "game" sites however, there is a possible back door, don't search for, "Games", look for,"Tests of skill". - djoldgeezer
your school server maybe using programs to stop prying eyes onto norty sites ! unless you know your IT teachers admin password or are very good at guessing or hacking, there aren't many ways around the system... - astec555

sounds like a firewall. ...and especially at a school the admin (computer people) will have been told to block certain sites. i.e. sites with certain words in them - games, sex etc. If it is a site that isnt a gaming site, or one that has people having sex on it - just go and ask them to allow it. There is no reason why they shouldnt. - sophisticatedkitty82
not sure if this will work or not but its worth a try... assuming that your school IT admin hasnt already blocked this site... http://www.pimpmyip.com/ some other sites to try if the first one i mentioned is blocked.. www.w00tage.com www.arandomproxy.com www.cilix.be www.devotedgaming.be www.dunkindonuts.be www.elitehacks.be www.elitenetworks.be www.fooznet.be www.frod.be www.fuznet.com www.gamecopyworld.be www.gamedaemons.be www.greekradio.be www.iloveny.be www.jozone.be www.hd-gaming.be www.masslan.com www.velocity-servers.be www.velocityserver.be www.velocityservers.be www.theyankees.be www.stripnow.be www.proxymain.com www.proxyoxy.com www.nyysuck.be - PC-Guy
if we wanted to play on games when we were at school we would use a search engine (ask is the best for this) and type in the name of the game and we could play within ask. There is a way to get around blocks but u need the i.p address of the main computer and i can't really help you with that - lovehatesugar
No, your school server blocks sites which are not relevant or which causes heavy traffic in the system. In our university, certain sites are blocked too and some can only be accessed after office hours. - meow
Have you been trying to look at naughty pictures again?!? - Alonso14
Yep most schools ,library's and a list of other places have s/ware that blocks certain types of sites, for many reasons. Personally I think it is a good idea and I believe that this myspace.com should be closed down ASAP.! There is a site! It is called your own system and you should stick to using it to access the sites you can't at school - jackocomp
It depends on the policies set by your school network administrator, if some sites are blocked, then you can not open those sites. However you can try disabling your proxy. To disable your proxy, open Internet explorer, go to tools menu, go to Internet options, then go to Connections tab, there is a button named as "LAN settings". Click the button. Then there will be another window, under that window there is a Proxy settings, just unchkeck the second check box, your proxy will be disabled. Then try and open the web-sites. But be aware of the IT people of your school..... Best of Luck, - honey_thecop
To tell you the truth, Me and My friends have looked and tried, and failed at the same time, but I think that if you go into the internet, click on tools, go to options and play around in there, you can open up some blocked sites....SOmewhere in the world that would be School-Ground Computer Hacking.lol - Zakariah
No. The school has blocked all websites for a reason, so you will get on with your work!! If it were that easy to unblock something that was blocked, there would be no point in blocking it in the first place, don't you think? - lisabee
nobecause you are at school they will always block the websites you try - Mark J
its probably because your school has filters that block certain websites with content they don't want displayed on their computers. i know of no way around the block except to purchase your own computer and get internet service at home. - tiggerkitty3
no, its impossible - jnwht23
no thats the simple answer - keithmanley2000
