Gods-Gift-uk how can i get Divx movies to play on my dvd player ? - Gods-Gift-uk i downloaded a Divx movies the other day and i wanted to watch it on my tv so i burned the movie to a cd (not dvd) but i didnt dvd player didnt reckonize the disc! i have a few vcd's that do play , so any ideas anyone?
Best Answer: Try the Yamada DVX player - we could play DVDs from USA as well as European DVD (multi region player) http://www.divxplayers.co.uk/standalone/yamada-dvx-6700.html Once you buy it, you have to change the program to play multi-region (it doesnot come pre-set) - estee06
I'd suggest trying to burn it onto a DVD first - seeing if that works. VCD's are encrypted differently to DivX movies. VCD's are specifically for movies on standard CD's.
Either get some software that can create an actual video-DVD from the movie, or buy a DVD player which supports DivX. I know there are some DVD players now that support DivX. I believe Pioneer makes a few. - nren2k5
