what kind of Dell computers are best? - Danziel B I'm looking for a media center computer, with a fast processer, and possible TV tuner.. Also i heard dell laptops sucked, is that true? I'm also aiming at a good graphics card, to support a couple of games (nothing too major, no halo or anything) and a DVD drive. Any suggestions?

Best Answer: My Dell Inspiron 9300 is great! I bought it specifically for flight sims and it is awesome. I'm not sure why others have such a low opinion of Dell unless they have tried to deal with Dell customer service. In that case they are right. But the computers are fine. You can get great deals at http://www.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/notebooks?c=us&l=en&s=dfh if you have the patience to keep searching the inventory. You can search for the exact configuration you want and wait till one comes available. They sell refurbs, scratch-n-dents, and brand new "previously ordered" units. The XPS machines are the top of the line for Dell. However, if you have plenty of cash and you want a very nice machine check out Alienware. Now those are nice! If I had had the extra cash when I ordered my Dell a year ago I would have bought an Alienware. Not because there is anything wrong with Dells, but because Alienware computers scream! - ak

Dell is baaaad. Stay far away from it. http://www.alienware.com has the best PCs around. But, if you're going for a cheaper PC I'd get a Sony VAIO. - .PANiC

halo isnt major these days ... almost anything will run older games ... but anyway, dell is easy to configure with what u want ... or u could check out what newegg has for laptops .. im sure u could find somthing to fit what u want for a decent price ... - dze
