Best Answer: first question: dsl or cable? second: do you know your connection type? pppoe, dhcp or static - the easiest way would be to hook up your linksys and log into it- open Internet Explorer and type in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar- username is either blank (leave it blank) or admin - password is either admin or password see if it's set to obtain automatically = dhcp set to use following ip information = static set to use username and pw = pppoe which ever it is you'll want to copy it down- if you don't know the password then you'll need to contact your internet service provider- copy down the info. and log into the netgear: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, or 10.0.0.1 and put that information in it...kind of same page as linksys anyways, if that doesn't work then contact your internet service provider and they should definitely be able to help you hook it up.
