jjones9908 i have a HDD,VCR,DVD recorder that is hooked up to my tv but the local stations are showing in like double ??? - jjones9908 i am using a s video cable now where as before i was using the old style. it is still making the double image on the local networks. it is a sylvania HDRV200F. any suggestions ????
Best Answer: Your double images are probably caused by a misaligned antenna or too weak a signal caused by having three components HDD, VCR, DVD recorder (unless this is an all in one box) in the signal path between the antenna or cable TV source and the TV set. Of course you could also have the problem of misaligned convergence on the TV in which case you have red, green and blue images separated (or just one color separated from the other two). For convergence issues you need to get your TV fixed. For lack of signal you need to use the right connections for your TV cable (screw on kinds instead of push on kinds) and possibly fewer connections in the path of the signal from the antenna or cable source to the TV (if you are using three separate boxes for HDD, VCR and DVD recorders). You might need a RF signal amplifier for your antenna or cable. - Broadcast Engineer
