Question and Answers

Paul E Why won't Lexmark 5400 Series Printer accept refilled cartridges? - Paul E I have a Lexmark 5400 Series Printer which I have used for nearly a year successfully. Several months ago I refilled my Lexmark printer cartridges with an excellent ink and have printed many pages with great success. This week my printer will no longer print with my refilled color ink cartridge. At first it said the warranty would be voided with a non-Lexmark cartridge--they are Lexmark brand, simply refilled. I don't care. Printers are disposable anyway. I could work around that one, but now it simply won't print with the cartridge. There's bound to be a workaround, but I'm unable to find it. Any suggestions?
Best Answer: if it has been several months ago since u refilled it then maybe you have no ink left. usually when u refill a cartridge it goes by how many pages u print out, not the exact same amount of ink u would use when u buy a "new" one. maybe u need to refill again or buy a new one. good luck. - mona
