LisaWN Voce Wireless-- suddenly I have no serivce. Are other Voce users experiencing this? - LisaWN I suspect the company is going down the tubes and this is the ultimate sign of their demise. i can't get through to anyone on the support line. Any insight would be appreciated!
Best Answer: I've lost service as well and called every single number they have and got noone. My boyfriend received an email from a former customer care associate a few days ago saying that they were bought by the Suncal fund and employees had not been paid for a month so everyone was leaving. I think they are done. I'm very annoyed. Class action lawsuit anyone? Here's information that a former Voce customer rep forwarded. You can use it to port out and hopefully keep your number. Should you initiate a port from Verizon, for example, here is the pertinent information to provide: Voce Wholesale - Account Number 90210000 Your personal account number is your mobile number - MandeeUK
i find it very funny that all these rumors are being presented without in valid clams. only thing that is true, is that Voce staff has not been paid for a lil over a month now. the voce stores were closed due to not making any money, a dumb move to even have a store on Camden. to more dumb choices were to open stores with longterm leases in both the century city mall and topanga plaza. knowing money was low, why do this and accrue more and more debt. a sad sight i see....... then i see a la times article that says roy was fired, wow what is this. was it not a few weeks ago when you resigned, along with bill farwell and star marcus who was the first to hit the road. and why did star resign, because she felt that new ownership didnt like her. same reason given by roy, he was afraid of then, what a weak person. again no one was fired, the all resigned which was why i assume they were shut out. why do you need access if you dont work for the company as both new mgmt has a lot to answer for, it was the old mgmt who put us all in this boat. as i am until further notice a Voce employee, i feel let down by Roy, Bill and Star. why did you not make sure in the contract atleast one check run was released. very poor leadership. oh, and i saw something stating we dont have benefits as of feb 1st but as i checked we still do. on a side note, the whole outage was due to a small company, voce partners with for cell service, being lied to by old mgmt and since the trust was there shut off service. i say dont trust anyone, keep an open mind and wait for all facts to come out. - very sad
I am an ex voce employee, to reply to the last comment yes something doesnt add up... although I am thinking its with the new owner not the previous one. From what I hear Voce was not doing too good and were in the hole quite a bit... the number I hear is around 7 figures. from what the new owner says (and yes hes with suncal) he didnt know it was that much till after he attained the new debt. He didnt buy voce but took on their debt as the new owner from what I hear. Who buys a company and then says he didnt know it was in such debt? again, it doesnt seem to add up. And we are talking to our lawyers as well I know a lot of people keep bringing Roy up but he was one of the unfortunate few who (from what I hear) was fired by the new CEO. He is unable to answer questions either as he was a victim too. - X
Google "Suncal Midwest" There is zero info on it!!!! Who sells to a company with tons of loyal and high profile subscribers to such a mysterious "corporation". Who really owed Voce? Who owns it??? Something smells criminal. Before sale to "SunCal Midwest" entire Voce sales staff and some of customer service reps were laid off. That happened in December. Went to the Century City boutique and it was shut down long before the sale. ???? Rush sale of the company came after a failed marketing campaign. Heard this from a former rep. This horrible situation is not only on the shoulders of the new owners. Rests at the feet of a garbage executive team - Roy Kosuge, Bill Farwell and Ron Pattani. Got their contact details from the former rep and have them passed my attorney. Instead of notify customers and staff that the company was no longer viable, they sold everyone down the river in a shady deal to "SunCal Midwest". The reps weren't paid too. I was double-billed and would be intersted in any class action suit against prior and new owners. Can't wait until Monday to contact NY and CA attorney generals. - vocelies
What exvoce said does work! I was able to port my number to T-Mobile with no problems. I started the process yesterday and have my number back as of this morning. - Tailormade
I'm posting on behalf of former employees of Voce. We are deeply concerned about the current state of the company and the impact it is having on the customers. First things first, to port out of the "Voce Hybrid" network, you should provide the following information: Carrier name: Voce Wholesale Bill address: 27599 Riverview Center Blvd. Bonita Springs, FL 34134 Account number: 90210000 PIN (if requested): Not applicable (We heard from the carrier that the ports were delayed yesterday due to volume, but numbers are being released.) Regarding the double bills, it is best to contact your credit card company immediately and request a charge back, as it is rumored that the new owners charged cards for service to be provided in February. Finally, a quick update on what has transpired: Voce was purchased in early January by SunCal Midwest, LLC, represented by Anthony Roselli, Brian Richards and Tom Malanca. The intent of the purchase was for SunCal Midwest to maintain and grow the core Voce business, using its connections with enterprise customers. The new owners have thus far failed to meet their end of the deal, including paying employees and vendors. The prior management of Voce resigned or was shut out by the new owners after the sale. We direct all questions to the current CEO/President of Voce, Brian Richards. He can be reached at brian@voce.com We are deeply disappointed and sorry for your inconveniences. - exvoce
The only information i have been able to get was from a manager of neiman marcus. She told me they recieved no notice from Voce and that all they knew was from an email sent to them this morning. The email stated that all customers were to take up billing issues with their credit card companies . Problem is i bought my phone in neiman marcus which does not accept anything but american express. So i had to put down a 500 dollar Cash deposit that i have no way of recovering. So i also want in on any lawsuit. If anyone finds out any info on ANY suit please let me know - andrew l
Sorry to all the former Voce customers. I work for a Company Owned AT&T retail store and dealt with one of Voce's customer. He said that his friend worked for the company and sent him a warning text message saying to get out now. This was yesterday on January 31. Looks like there done. It's too late to port your numbers. I tried to port his and it couldn't be done. The account has to be active to port the numbers. Since it is cancelled theres no hope. The only way to keep your numbers is if VOCE reinstates the service, than we can port. Otherwise, its a no. Sorry all. I saw the account and its ALOT of phone numbers. It sucks for the people who have had the numbers for years. Your phone number will now have to change. I activated 2 phones for the customer. One for himself and one for his wife. There is way to keep your numbers though. I wish I can say more. I can't disclose too much info...company policy. I can help anyone with new service. AT&T is NUMBER 1 in wireless service among MANY other services. This is why VOCE used our service. If you need any help with anything or need new service, email me. attsergio@yahoo.com. I can activate new service for you guys. AT&T wont do this to you guys. Were here to stay. Our prices are cheaper. Good Luck to everyone. Contact me if you guys have any questions. - attsergio
Came across this earlier tonight in my searches: http://www.voceclassaction.com Looks like somebody already is thinking about the same thing we all are. I added my e-mail to their list and hopefully updates will come in. - Karl G
They suck i also sent i lot of people to them i want my number count me in on any lawsuits update: i was able to port my numbers over to at&t and they are working fine - Tom S
Im in shock that we are out of our cell phones. I use my phone for business! In reading the blogs, im hoping that i will be able to port my # over, but i highly doubt it since everyone else is having trouble. Please keep me posted on any class action suits! - Mare
The funny thing is when I called Neiman Marcup, I asked for Voce. The receptionist said they packed up last week with no forwarding number. The whole thing is just tacky. No notice, no integrity what so ever. I spoke very highly of this company and refereed others. Now I feel left out in the cold...... - Voce=Crap
I don't know what is going on however I do have my cell with them... I am in the process of switching carriers and also contacting a lawyer for a possible class action suit against them. Fell free to email me if you have any questions Brittanyramos@aol.com - brittanyvr82
They are gone...they have new CEO now, and are trying to revive it... his name is Brian Richards, his email is brian@voce.com..... I also was billed inaccurately. If anyone is considering a lawsuit, please let me know. I am going to try to change my service tomorrow. I am not sure if they will let me keep my number or not? Doubtful. - Matthew P
Class action, I am in. Had my phone number for 7 years and cannot get it back from Voce. I have tried every number as well as emailing them. Anyone getting through somehow, I really need my number to conduct my business! - vocesucks
My wife and I couldn't get though their service either. We checked our CC, and it seems like we got charged twice as well. I would recommend checking your CC's to be sure that the charges are accurate. Too bad they went out of service, because I used to like the point that you could get on either tmobile or at&t's network, and that their service was pretty good. Not sure if its too early to ask this, but I wonder if we can move to another service provider without any stipulations on the contract. Also, would we be able to keep our numbers with a different service provider? - Rohit
Yes, they are out of business. I went to one of their locations and no luck. Also check your bank account and dispute any charges because they charged me twice! - robbpoole
Not only do I not have service-when I dial out it says sim card failure, and when someone attempts to call me, it either rings busy or just rings and rings, they debited my account twice for the same month! I have been calling and leaving messages EVERYWHERE. Just called 310.867.2000-A number I got from the leasing office at Westfield Mall in Century City... - mainicole731
