Printer network problem? - adrienne I am using the Samsung CLX-216x Series printer. The printer technician came to help me install the network printer and we tested it out on our desktop and 2 laptops. It worked perfectly fine. It has been printing perfectly fine until 2 days ago. When i tried printing from the laptops (wireless connection), it couldn't print at all. I have followed the troubleshooting guide provided by my printer and followed the instructions of detaching the wireless connection wire and the power cord, and then attaching it back again. However, it still does not work. I read some related questions posted on line regarding firewall. I have not meddled with the firewall component so I guess the firewall isn't the problem. Please help.

Best Answer: Are all of your computers on the same work group name. You can see if this is true by going into My Computer then My network connection and then view computers in my work group. If you don't see them then you have to go into control panel and system. There should be a tab for computer name and that is where you can change the work group name. You cn then add the printer as a network printer - rememberme0247

How is the printer connected? To one of the computers? To the router? To a print server? Make and model number of the router and any print server? Windows? (Version?) MacOS? Can you ping the print server or the computer the printer is connected to from the laptops? What was changed 2 days ago, even if you don't think it has anything to do with the problem? - Colanth
