what's the best amp for mid's and hi's under $100 used or new? - ttt3008 Just want something to power up 1 component set in the front and 1 in the back. I have heard that there are cheap choices that really don't give you much quality.

Best Answer: Under 100 Bucks Is Tough Because It Limits Your Choices. If You Want A Decent Amp For About 170 Bucks The Kenwood KAC-6402 It's a 400 Watt 4 Channel Amp with Variable Crossovers. That Will Make Your Component Set Thump. I Have 1 Hooked Up To a Pair Of Orion Component And 2 12 Inch Orion Subs. This Amp Has Some Power to It. - nitehawk8075

I have made some VERY great deals at this site, most notably 2 brand new Pioneer Premier TSW subs for 95.00 a piece that sell for 250.00 everywhere here locally. There are, of course, many other brands out there, but I would highly recommend staying away from Pyramid, Pyle, Legacy, DHD, Audiobahn, Coustic, Boss, Rockwood, etc. These brands are cheap, but have high noise problems that can kill subs easily. They also like to advertise rediculous wattage claims that have never been verified by any reputable testing agent. Good luck - ExperienceD
