Allan C Help, my PC unable to detect DVD/CD rom drive after boot up.? - Allan C I am running on windows XP home, all application working well, i can detect hard disk and all software, except DVD/CD writer is not detected. Can anyone help? Thankyou!
Best Answer: Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Properties", then go to "Hardware" and then "Device Managers". See if there are any yellow exclamation points. Right-click on the item affected, check the device status - if there are any error codes, Google them. Other than that - not sure what else happened. Try clicking on "Check for hardware changes", maybe it is uninstalled. - rouschkateer
