Question and Answers

Kristy My car radio keeps turning off? - Kristy So, my radio turns itself off and back on. Also, my cigarette lighter has stopped working. Is it a loose wire or bad fuse.etc?? My car is a 2001 Dodge Neon. Honestly, it could use a new radio, but I would really like to know the cause first.
Best Answer: Loose wire somewhere. When a fuse goes bad....it stays bad or blown. You either have a plug coming loose...or a wire about to break apart. - extex_cop
I would check the fuse and make sure the wires and tightly in place. - Baby boy due Oct 21!
Sounds like a bad connection-wire in the back of the radio. It wouldn't hurt to change the fuse, though. I had a problem with one from Best Buy-but they did fix it. Did you have the radio installed yourself or is it the one that came with the car? - Teachercop
