Who is better in various normal everyday problems, and finally if I get a pc, tell me how your opinion if you can about Windows Vista? Plus the problems!
Best Answer: I'm a mac guy. So my answer might be a bit one sided. The real question should be what do you need the machine for? Because for some things PC's might be the better choice and Mac for others. That being said and all things being equal here's the skinny. PC's are cheaper at first glance. However when you start adding up the cost of ownership and what it would take to get a PC to do what a Mac does right out the box, the cost is really about the same. Both PC's and Mac's do the internet without many issues. You may need to download things like "Flip4Mac" to get the Mac to do some video stuff on some web sites but other than that, it's about a draw on the internet thing. But ultimately here's the bottom line... NO VIRUSES ON MACS. None, period. I've been running Macs for well over 15 years and never ran virus protection software, and never had a virus. As for ease of use, hands down it goes to the Mac. Vista has been plagued with countless issues. It's gotten to the point that two of the schools in my area have banned Vista machines from their networks due to the issues. To be fair Leopard has had a few hiccups as well but most of them are due to third party apps (Photoshop, ProTools) not Apple. Finally depending on where you live, if you have an issue with your Mac all you need to do is go to Apple's web site, make an appointment at the Genius Bar they have in their stores and talk to someone who can fix it. If you have an issue with your PC you'll be pinning your hopes on some guy in India reading answers out a manual that don't apply to the problem your having. PC's have their place in the world. I just know I've never had an issue with my Mac that I couldn't fix myself. All my Macs have been rock solid machines. I also have a PC that I have to restart 2 or 3 times a day, erase and reinstall Windows 3 to 4 times a year, and watch as it gets progressively slower to boot everyday. I also have Windows XP installed via Boot Camp one one of my Macs. It is by far the fastest and most stable Windows machine I've ever owned and have seen. That being said the Windows side of that machine is still vulnerable to all the same viruses, spyware, and other stuff that any Windows machine is. I'm sure there's will be a WIndows Guy who chimes in with an equally passionate endorsement for Windows. But know this... If it contains the phrase "Macs suck", stop reading and realize your dealing with a zealot. - MacKeefus
