15963 Help with graphics card drivers? - 15963 I updated the drivers for my Radeon X600. I downloaded the drivers from their website. Everything seems to be working. But when i go into the display settings it says the adapter type is X300/X550/X1050 Series. not x600 anymore. Is this normal? The chipset is still x600.
Best Answer: many series of chipset work with same drivers, and may be ur card also support same drives. carry on with it. - aslam
You can make windows think any chipset is another simply buy choosing another model type when installing drivers. Whenever I install mine I get a list which asks me which family it is and I always choose some real funny ones to play jokes on my friends. It doesnt change the actual performance at all. - Doggzilla
Well if the drivers are working well you have nothing to worry about. I would test them on a 3Dmark. There you can see the performance of ur new drivers. Test them there than uninstall them and install the old drivers. See which one performs the best. - kfc001
