TryingxNotxToxBreak The Windows Vista Home Basic product key you typed is invalid for activation? - TryingxNotxToxBreak A message keeps popping up on my Everex laptop that has three options: Buy a new product key online. Type a different product key. Contact Everex Systems, Inc. to help solve this problem. My mum threw out the box my laptop came in so I dont have a product key..she wont *buy* me a new..product ket online.. So does anyone know what this message means..or..why its doing this? Any helpful answers would be much appreciated, thanks.
Best Answer: the product key will be stuck on the underside of the laptop If you have used that and the automatic activation rejects it just do the telephone activation its tedious but simple and usually an automated service these days make sure you answer the product key came installed on the PC and that its on one pc only - bex whit
The windows key should be on a shiny microsoft sticker on the bottom of the laptop, otherwise call up the manufacturer and if they are not willing to help you ask for their supervisor or a manager and talk to someone who has some authority. - Amaan M

The product key can only be used a limited number of times. If the same key has been activated too many times, it quits working. If it is a legitimate copy, you should be able to call Microsoft tech support for help. - neodracolith
