Zorro Windows Movie Maker - I need to split a video in half because it won't do a final save? - Zorro All right so I want to upload a .MSWMM (Windows Movie Maker Project) file to YouTube but the problem is it has a lot of clips in it and has many effects and transitions; this takes up too much memory for my PC so I cannot convert it to a .WMV file. I have to split the video in half for it to work. How would I go about doing this without ruining the whole thing (WITHOUT deleting the content, since it has many fragments of video and effects that I can't do over in a new project without making something wrong)? Or, alternatively, is there some sort of program that I could download or a website that I could go to that would convert my .MSWMM file into something that could be uploaded to YouTube? Thanks!
Best Answer: ok, first of all forget about doing anything with your.mswmm file. it is a movie maker file. it is not a video and as such cannot be used with any other program. simply put, you have to export your video to a .wmv file. to get your video onto youtube it needs to be a .wmv file in the first place. thats it. period. there is no other way. so your question should be "how can i free up memory to export my video from movie maker?" post this question, with lots of details about your pc, and we'll take it from there. - alienboy
