Which is the best printer for a small business office, Laserjet or Cartridge? - Keith C I am about to change printers and I am using two cartidges and 1000 sheets per month.

Best Answer: The main advantages for a laserjet are cost - believe it or not but laser printers cost FAR less than inkjets to run when you add up the costs - along with the quality of print, and flexibility of print frequency. Inkjets are nice for printing photos and colour prints, but for print text you're often wasting your coloured inks by only using the black ink reservoir - and a lot of inkjet cartridges require black and colours to be replaced as one. On top of that, if you aren't printing every day, then the ink will dry up and you end up getting far less than the claimed number of pages printed. Even if you're getting the claimed number of pages, an inkjet usually costs on average 4-8p per page to print, whereas a laserprinter usually works out to 1p per page or so - less if you use an older laserprinter that has cheap toner cartridges available. For a small business, the sharp and tidy appearance of laser printed text cannot be ignored either. Lastly, if your 'small business' is you being self-employed, and you need to work on a tight budget, you can pick up older laserprinters that still work perfectly well and compare well to more recent printers, very cheaply. I personally use a LaserJet 2200 that cost me £30 a few months ago, it prints as well as any 2008 model laser printer, just a bit slower (18 pages per minute), and toner cartridges are around £15 for 5000 pages or so (thats 1/3p per page). - Nicola A

leaser is the best, it's cartridge cost bit more but give you better performance speed and printing. it also depends wot printing you do most color or black n white. there are color leaser printers but very expensive but recommanded is leaser for any kind of business. - modrated
