Question and Answers

james4wbhsbasketball Does my computer support NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT? - james4wbhsbasketball AMD Sempron CPU (1.8GHz), 448MB Ram, K8M800-M7A Mainboard for AMD Processor. i wanted to know if i would be able to successfully install this graphics card for my gaming demand. If you need more info tell me so.
Best Answer: nope nvidia dont have the 8, 9 or GT200 series as AGP which your computer motherboard need. so u can either get an 6, 7 series AGP card or go for ATi's they have uptill their previous gen 3xxx series (3450 AGP) Depends on what u want, get an AGP card. Not PCI-Express for the latest generation cards which the 8500 GT has. - Marcus B
Your RAM and Processor would be killer to the video card anyway, a company called HIS have made a relatively good graphics card using an ATi chipset here is the link to the review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9aDiyghaeQ If you HAVE TO GAME then i would go with that otherwise get a new computer with a dual core, 2gb ram and an Nvidia card. Good Luck! - draponix
if the motherboard has a PCI-express 2.0 x16 slot, then it will work, if it still uses AGP and the old PCI, then no, it will not work. - der_kaiser_von_kase
NO... its a PCI Express card and the k8m800-m7a has AGP not PCI Express. nVidia 7800Gs or 6600GT are good AGP cards. - poebassman
