Best Answer: I use Glary Utilities http://www.download.com/Glary-Utilities/3000-2094_4-10508531.html CCleaner can do that too. - Sky Walker
I don't know too much about this, but I use three things to sort out my computer. Ccleaner (free), Advanced Windowscare V2 Personal (also free) and McAfee Quickclean, part of the McAfee security suite. I use all of these frequently, and my computer has yet to blow up. - Sir Terrance DeCat.
Uniblue Registry Booster 2 is a very good program. Also system mechanic. - fikel

I'm with the Emperor of Cheese (?) on this one - I'm not a big fan of registry cleaners - stick to CCleaner, Glary Utilities; try Eusing or PC Health Optimizer Free Edition if you must http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/pc-health-optimizer-free-edition/pchealthfree.html http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/eusing-free-registry-cleaner/eusingregistry.html - z☺☺mjet►►►
according to maximum PC ,none of the registry scanners they've used have ever worked. they tried using regcure on a clean install of windows XP, and guess what? it found a few hundred errors, on a clean install of windows of all things!!!! if you want to optimize performance then don't mess with the registry, and don't use a registry scanner, if you absolutely must clean the registry, then do it yourself if you know what you're doing. but a safer route would be to manage your startup programs and do a bit of crap cleaning. - der_kaiser_von_kase
can try iobits windows care too. - Dement
Tweaknow ain't bad and CCleaner isn't either. Both free. I coughed up and bought Uniblue though. I'd start with Tweaknow if I were you. - Doreen H
