Help! How do i get rid of this white stripe on my screen? - D-Bo I have a white stripe covering about 10cm of my left hand screen. It covers everything thats underneith it, however when i click with my mouse i can still open stuff if i remember where it is. I restarted it, and it looked normal for a sec with the dif colours but then i went back to white. Its really giving me the shits... help!!

Best Answer: Yah, either the screen's failing or the video card. -Start by checking to make sure your cables are plugged in correctly (not loose or anything) -Then (with the computer powered down) check that your video card is seated properly in it's slot if it still shows the line try it with a different video cable (not likely to fix it but better to try it yourself than spend $90 at a service shop so someone else can tell you your cable's bad) If that doesn't work it's time to take it in for servicing... - Kevin M
