Maritza R Toshiba 215-7425 keeps shutting down? - Maritza R Hey. Well i've had this toshiba laptop for about 5 6 months now and i bought brand new. Recently it has been shutting down on me often. I downloaded this program called speedfan to keep track of the temperature of notebook. Its not the heat because the notebook is always at 71c. So i know that its not overheating. I dont know what else could it be. Also sometimes when windows updates itself you know like those bi-weekly updates. It asks me if I want to restart i always say yes restart so it shuts down, and i can hear the notebook trying to restatrt over again but nothing comes up.the notebook is on but the screen is black. Any help here would be very much appreciated. thanks in advance

I would take a look at your hard drive. - Monoxide
Your hard drive could be going bad, you could have heat issues shutting down the machine. I know you said it wasn't but have you watched the temp as it shuts down? - spacedude4
