Groid how do I brighten up the screen / display on my laptop? - Groid I am using vista software on a hp laptop . Display quite dull - hard to see at the moment.
Best Answer: Usually the laptop screen's contrast and brightness are adjusted by using the second function of certain keys. On my laptop, I hold down the Fn (Function) button (on the bottom row of keys) and also tap either the brightness or contrast button. That second function (ie brighness/contrast) is usually indicated on each key by an icon or abbreviation in a different color ABOVE the regular purpose of the key. The brightness and contrast icons usually look like a stylized sun with lines coming out of it - kind of like a young child might draw. FYI - a laptop's volume is often controlled by a similar arrangement. HTH : ) C-bug - C-bug
hey, my laptop screen always brightens up when i plug it in to the main adaptor, if this doesnt work try to find the contrast and brightness control on it hope this helps - b5x8t0a
