dainsmart is 50c hot for a motherboard,41 for a cpu,56 for 2x8800gts 512 gpu,s sli? - dainsmart
Best Answer: hi mate no,these tempertures are not too bad,the motherboard is a bit of a worry, however the cpu is fine as are the 8800gts cards however these tempertures also depend on what cpu and motherboard you are using, and the real worry is the motherboards temperture should be lower than the processors what cooling have you applied in your pc case, the ideal set up is a front fan near the bottom(preferbly a 120mm fan),then 2 x 80mm fans at the back of the case, there should be pre-drilled holes for these fans however if theres only one fan area then just fit the one you can also use a side fan, usually again a 80mm fan, however this is not essential ,but will help the motherboard and cpu stay cool some enthusiasts use water cooling which is even cheaper these days, for example you can buy a Swiftech H2O 120 Compact Kit from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-028-SW&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1038&name=Swiftech%20H2O%20120%20Compact%20Kit%20(Socket%20462/478/LGA775/754/939/940) for just £82.24 inc VAT this includes a cpu block and a radiator for the rear of the p.c,you can allways add a vga block at a later date to keep your graphics cards cool but this isnt essential however for the time being buy a can of "air duster" (compressed air in a can) and clean all areas of your case, paying special attention to the cpu and gpu fans and also the psu(blast out fans and inside the psu housing) then if need buy some more fans(http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=57&subid=819)and fit them as i described any problems let me know good luck mate ! - brianthesnail123
Depends on what temp. software you are using and if it is calibrated correctly. - autzenmaven
50C is hot for a motherboard, but the other temperatures are fine. 60 is too high for a CPU (70 depending on model), and GPUs go up to about 70 or 80. But you definitely need some more/better fans in your case to cool your motherboard - tuaamin13
