bob. can i put a amd phenom in my laptop? - bob. it is has a amd socket so amd processors will work. i just want to know if i tried to install it would it fit. also theres the fact that it might get hella hot lol and then my 4 cores of power would go down in flames.

Really there isn't enough info here to answer the question. You need to find out what motherboard your laptop has and find out what CPUs are supported. This is pretty easy to do, either check with the laptop manufacturer for the motherboard type, or bust open your laptop and try to find the model number. Then get the specs on that model by typing it into google. I wouldn't recommend putting that in your laptop anyway though because processors for laptops are specially designed to work on lower power and produce less heat (ideally). Also, not all AMDs run on the same socket, especially between Desktops and Notebooks. - Jeff P
