Question and Answers

Victor Writing on Scanned Document in Word? - Victor A form was scanned into Word and I can't figure out how to set up a format for it so that you can enter information into the proper fields. Sorry for the poor explanation. I realize that I would need the original document to make things easier, but there isn't one. Help!
Best Answer: Unfortunately, there isn't any way in Word to fill in a scanned image, and converting the original scan to text via Optical Character Reading (OCR) works -- sort of -- but usually has to be edited to be brought back to a semblance of the original form. Fancy layouts are almost always lost, to the point where the originator of the form might not accept the results. Sorry. - The Phlebob
