PLEASE HELP ME (please read!!!)? - Fall out Boys like Girls ok, well my computer has all the command and conquer first decade games on it, but whenever i play the zero hour or generals (the ones that are 3-d) its works fine with only a bit of lag, but then after 20-25 minutes of gameplay, my moniter will shut off and when i turn it on it'll say it has no signal, forcing me to restart my computer. can anyone tell me why this is happening and what i can do to fix it? thanks alot!

Best Answer: Sounds like the more taxing games are overheating your graphics card. Probably the fan on it has stopped working. They can be replaced, but I would take it to a small local computer store or ask someone you trust to replace it for you, or even just to check it. If you are not comfortable with this yourself. *Edit* Of course it could be as simple as those answers above, never thought of that. Then again if it was that, then it would happen all the time, not jsut in 3d games. It's a possibility though. - Knight_Times

Well I'm not such a genius at computers but It may be that you need more memory because my computer has been shuting also. Hope this helps! =) - STANA B

This is almost certainly a video card problem, not a monitor problem. Your graphics card is probably overheating. Open the case and check to make sure there is no dust on the graphics card (hint: can of compressed air) and that the card's cooling fan is spinning freely. - Capricorn1
