Text Messaging? - GeniusPoint2 I don't have text messaging, but do want it. i asked my parents and they said no. I was thinking to write a report on why text messaging is important and why I should have it. Yes I'm a nerd and I figured I should do what I do best be a nerd. I need some ideas on what to write about thanks.

Best Answer: well my phone allows texting and my phone wont allow calls anymore, but it will allow texting. so i use texting to contact people instead of calling because calling doesnt work anymore. also, what if you were being kidnapped and you were trapped in a car with only your cell phone? you wouldnt be able to call the police,, but you could text them. or text a friend to call the police. right? tell your parents that you will use texting wisely. give reasons why you think texting is good. and describe what the consequences will be if you abuse your rights. good luck.! and by the way, i dont think thats nerdy, thats a pretty good idea!!! - music 4 life♫

My parents rely more on txting to communicate with us while they are gone then thru phone. If i need something or i have an emergency, they're just a txt away. Even if they don't answer, the message will be there. - rcmpbllsoup29

some cell services have it so you can text free and others you get like x amount of texts for the month for x amount of $ so I would say do some research on price and also I text more than I talk and It saves us a ton of money and it will probably save you more if you have a pay by the min phone - Lia M

well if you have ATT you can get a plan that has 200 messages a month for $5 and if your responsible with it maybe they will get you unlimited - jen!!

lets see if i can help. i use texting when im at work beign ON the phone talking may jeopaardize my work cut i can be everywhere sneaky and txtin. sometimes ppl cant talk like me so they prefer txting. also even parents! u can shoot them an easy fast txt saying "dad staying afterschool call u later" or something. its just a fun short way of communicatiing. i text ALLL the time. school. work. n stuff. even at night when i was under my family time parents wouldnt allow me to be on phone after 10pm. but i would txt the other person. no noise no nothing. hahaha well thats pretty mushc all i can think of. - Spicy Candy
