Neil C Pc gaming - i need your advice please!!!!!!!!? - Neil C Hello, my name is Neil Chada I am 17 years old and going for my last year in boarding school(come back at weekends). I am a die hard gamer and was wondering are the alienware laptops worth the money or should i go for these desktops Which are arbico, please look http://www.arbico.co.uk/Extreme-Gaming-Base-Units-p-1-c-407.html Im considering the first one, is this a good deal? cause im worried that if I get this it wont be reliable, as with alienware they are reliable and lastly is this an extremley good gaming desktop? even though cheap? too cheap if you ask me thanks
Best Answer: Laptops are not a good idea for gaming because gaming constantly require hardware upgrades as more resource intensive games come on the market, especially graphics cards. Since you are a hardcode gamer I am almost certain you want to keep up with latest and greatest in which case stick with desktops. As for alienware brand which now I think is under dell computers I am not sure about the quality. Best would be goto CNET.com and research the consumer reviews and generally looks for reviews on alienware machines on the internet. Best indication of quality is consumer postings, they are almost always unbiased and truthful. Enjoy playing. get the Arbico OC 4600A - Custom Built Overclocked Gaming PC - chuck505robinson
That is true though i agree with the guy above about better service with other companies such as Dell. But if i had to choose a computer, i would choose this...Arbico OC 3870A XFIRE - Custom Built Overclocked Base Unit PC. As long as you have a awesome graphics card, quad core, good sound card, 4 gb of ram your are fine. - leon831@sbcglobal.net
buy parts, make it yourself. all of these r intel CPU's. i have nothing against intel, seeing i use them. but it has been proven the AMD's r better for gaming. plus, usually "die hard gamers" make their own comps for their own specifications. - bob_
It's better to buy from a local reputable dealer where you can get support. Do you have any local PC shops near your house? Keep this in mind: If the system dies, what happens. How long will they warranty it? Will you have to pay shipping? Will they cover parts and labor? I custom build most of my PCs, and otherwise I buy Dell laptops or Macs. It's a personal preference. Be sure to shop around and find a place with good support. Some of these smaller internet-only shops won't be around to support your gaming rig when the motherboard fries! - Kyle S
get the bottom one it the slowest out of all of them but the cheapist and you will be able to play on crysis high on it so get that - fps_kyle23
