Best Answer: Yes it is. Cell phone kind of does controls my life though. I am constantly texting and talking on the phone. I hate it when people look at my messages because I talk about stuff that other people should not know about. (For example, my friend went to juvy and then a kid picked up my phone and spread it across the whole school.) I hate having to pay for cell service. It can be so expensive at times! I hate forgetting my phone at home because I always get scared that I dropped my phone on the Subway or at certain places. I hate it when I have a girl constantly calling to apologize for something she did 2 years ago. (Everyday at 2 PM!) I hate the roaming charges I get when I accidentally roam on another network. Some charges are expensive! One thing that I've noticed though; Without a cell phone I would probably be dead. Even though it is a part of my social life, it helped save my brother's life. He had a seizure and I was able to call 911 from the cell rather than running to a public phone. So in a way, yes the cell phone controls parts of my life. But it also helps saves lives. :) - techguy0147
block text messeging on your phone. tell people youd rather talk to them. try leaving your phone at home sometimes. You may feel naked without it, but try talking to the people youre with and devote some quality time with them. Try getting a phone without all the extra accessories. They are usually cheaper. Also shop around for a provider that does not charge roaming. Just know all your options by doing some research and never believe a salesperson. Ever. - Accurate Perception

There is one very good way to stop a cell phone from being so annoying: Turn off the ringer and let the phone record incoming calls for a while. Same as everyone does when they'd rather let the answering machine take their calls. - rabboleth
