help picking a camcorder? - kitten85 i know very little about electronics. i want to get a camcorder for special occasions, taping my puppy and just regular home use. i would like the option to edit my videos. there are just so many types now i dont know what is best. any help would be great.

Best Answer: I use Sony 309 DVD disc camcorder. Selecting the type of camcorder would depend upon ,what u want to tape. If its for regular home use DVD Sony 309 is best. It has all the functions that u want. U can edit videos, make movies, take still pictures, attach flash light, add effects like fader,black and white etc. Now if u want to tape landscapes and such select a camcorder with higher resolutions and more zoom features, like more than 40x optical zoom. Optical zoom maintains the quality of video whereas digital zoom spoils the quality of video so make sure buy with more of optical zoom. For your type of use Sony 309 is best it can also tape landscapes with it but that are not professional type but for home user they are fine. - MITESH G
