can a computer with poor ventilation give out toxic fumes? - annie my computer is old it gets really hot easily and i think the fan is starting to slowing down. today this really strange smell (like burnt bandaid) started coming out, can it give out toxic fumes? no actual smoke came out btw

Best Answer: no i don't think the fumes are toxic. ON the other hand if the fan is dying and it is burning fire is a very real possobility so defientley get a new fan also many parts of your computer are probbalby overheating causing a loss in performance so get it fixed soon or get a new computer and keep your computer off or else a fire may happen. - camaross427

no but poor ventilation can affect the processor so try to clean the fan if didnt work replace it - death lake

Burnt band-aid smell signals something is wrong with the ventilation. Open the computer, clean the ventilator (not with water, just use high-pressured air). - vidcopi
