SickwidIT Get Two 10" subs or One 12"? - SickwidIT hey guys, i currently got a a very loud setup in my 318ti bmw. i was wondering if i shud get 2 10" subs(they will be powered by my jbl cs300.1 amp) or just 1 12 inch sub. is there any myths that 2 subs hit harder and sound better than 1 sub. currently i got 1 pheionix gold 10" sub and its fine, but i feel like my system wud be great with a bit more bass. ur call, 2 10s, or 1 12?
Best Answer: If you're looking for more bass response and already have 1 10", don't just step up to 1 12". If your 318 has the room and you can go with 2 12's, that would be a nice improvement that you'll definitely notice. If you're going to stick with the JBL CS300.1 amp, you'll want to go with 2 low powered subs with high sensitivity ratings. Quite a few subs out in the market that handle in the 150W RMS range that will go nicely with your amp. I always recommend 2 12's to 2 10's if space allows. - RPM
two tens will work the best - frequency146880
well, if you are looking for some more bass, I would easily get the 2 10's, but if not, you could get one 12''woofer, and a huge ported box, but at the same time you could also get 2 12''subs. But back to your question:...2 10's I think would be louder. Hope I helped. - biggin239
well if your looking at a more of a clean quick kick bass get the 10's but if you want a bigger deeper a little bit louder 12's or if you want just go all out and get 2 12'' but that amp may struggle to power 2 10'' let alone 2 12'' and if you want a bit more power and don't mind losing a little bit of quality reduce the OHMS to the Maximum safe levels with your amp and subs and see what they can do. - Got Skooled ?
yea 2 10s sounds better to me, you got 20inches of subs right there compared to only 12 - Dustin S
