supersonic stevie wonderthing are windows XP's days numbered?????????? - supersonic stevie wonderthing we now have vista and also windows 7, will microsoft phase out xp soon ?????????????
Best Answer: no. Windows xp days are not numbered. Just because Microsoft will stop supporting updates for the Os , doesn't mean to say no one will stop using it! I still use windows 2000 on my other computer lol It also wasnt designed with gamers in mind , dx10 can suck my pineapples/ - Tony
Yes, without reprieves, XP tech support supposedly ended last year. But, of course, Microsoft has extended it to about the end of June this year (2009). That is, unless there's another reprieve! Read this: Just because Microsoft will end tech support for XP soon doesn't mean you can't still use it. 95, 98 and Windows 2000 are still being used today. And, there are still a few Windows Updates for 98 and 2000. - ELfaGeek
Yes. Almost all new Windows computers now carry Vista. The old problem with Vista was that people were putting it on incompatible PCs. I've been using Vista for 8 months and it kicks XPs ass. Eventually, ALL new computers will have Vista and XP will be a relic. This will happen in the next 5 years, sooner if the economy recovers next year. The problem with games on Vista has also been fixed. All new games are Vista compatible. - c
I doubt it . Most gamers use XP because it's so much faster . And you can get a custom made system with Xp in it still. - Lee
may be in future, still many use windows 2000 and 98,micr. can't totally withdraw xp ! - Nitin
perhaps. it will definitely phase out in the future but not sure about what will happen after windows 7 - Ctrl
I highly doubt it. so many people use windows XP because they don't like Windows Vista. So i presume it'll be the same, the windows XP interface is so easy to use, they'll probably just keep XP in the loop so they can keep there customers. - tEmP
