Crawford-24 Whats wrong with my camcorder capturing? - Crawford-24 Right, i have a 'Sony Handycam DCR-HC23' and i've just recently bought a new computer with 'Vista Home Edition' which means ive lost the driver for my camcorder. I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and really need to know how i can capture my footage off the camcorder onto the software. I been trying to connect it via USB cable and tried capturing the footage but it dont seem to work!! What am i doing wrong? Is there any way i can capture the footage? Thanks :)
Best Answer: USB won't work. The data transfer speed with USB is too slow, you need to use FireWire. Check the manual and you will see that the USB cable is for uploading pictures, not video. Confusing I know. Check out this firewire guide for more information: http://www.stashspace.com/video-editing/firewire-guide.stm - Al G
