viper_shark_69 Can you put more of an amp's power to the rear? - viper_shark_69 I have two 60W RMS speakers in the front and two 90W RMS speakers in the rear. If i were to get a 300W 4-channel amp, that would be 75W per speaker right? If so, could I adjust it so it wont blow the front speakers?
Best Answer: On a 4-channel amp there should be a setting for the front and rear speakers. Among those settings will be a "gain" or "input sensitivity" knob. If you turn this down for the front speakers you will be sending them less power. The links below tells how to set the gain on an amp... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=143 http://www.thesuicidaleggroll.com/gain.htm http://www.bcae1.com/gaincon2.htm You could also use the fade control on your radio to help to distribute the sound.
