10 points quick! Sound card broken or what? - F1-mania Turned on my comp a few minutes ago, and I'm only getting a hissing and crackling through the speakers. The speakers work fine. I presume its the soundcard. Anything I can do?

Best Answer: try going into Control Panel and Sound and enable the speakers to play the output of the sound. Sometimes the computer doesn't do it automatically and it has to be done manually. - aleister_cooper

Make sure that your sound is plugged in properly or not. If cable is inserted properly then try to update sound driver. Since sometimes this type of problem persist. or if not happen then remove previous driver and then reinstall. Or may be there is problem with Windows Media player which u r using. If not leave this player.

Try Plugging in the speakers into a different port if you have one. If that does not work Try Reinstalling the Driver.

check if the speakers are properly plugged in the pc and reinstall your audio drivers. - Siskin
