Hungry power amp 200amp Alternator enough? - Im upgrading my stock alternator off my 99 explorer...Im guessing it is 95amps...I have an additional battery 750amp , ran off the main cell under the hood... back with a 6 farad capacitor...All powering a Rockford fosgate t1500-2bd.... I need a bigger alternator before I can bridge it.. will a 200amp High amp alternator be big enough plus more batteries...P.S. Im not donald trumph so Im aware 375++ is more than enough, I just need most for air cond..at night... making alot of noise with least$$$ ya feel???
Best Answer: what i would do is yes upgrade the alt. to at least a 200amp if not a 250amp then for the second battery i would recommend the Optmia red top they are pricey but the are the ones that come closest to being fully charged after the first cycle and they are good batterys. - Evan S
