Does a darker desktop save electricity? - It probably is a very stupid question, but oh well.
Best Answer: Yes but just a bit since you are just reducing the power to illuminate the backlight. You will note this setting in laptops when on batteries. The screen dims a bit to extend battery life. And your question is not really a stupid one. -
